The Founder Glue Workshop

Booking terms and conditions

Last updated 28 October 2026

The short version

These are the terms for booking a seat at The Founder Glue Workshop on Wednesday 2 December 2026. The full terms follow this box.

  • You pay £197 and get a seat, a printed workbook, tea, coffee and biscuits, and a half day in a small room.
  • Full refund, no questions asked, up to 14 days before the event (by Wednesday 18 November).
  • After that there are no refunds, but you can give your seat to someone else. Send me their name by 5pm on Tuesday 1 December.
  • If I cancel or move the date, you get a full refund or can keep your seat for the new date.
  • Nothing is sold at the workshop.
  • The hot seat is optional. I will ask by email after you book, and you can still say no on the day.
  • Booking adds you to my email list, and you agree to receive marketing emails from me. You can unsubscribe at any time.

1. Who I am

In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean And We Do This Ltd, trading as The Savvy Marketing Guy®, registered in Scotland, company number SC319529, with its registered office at 5 Teapot Bank, Morebattle, Scottish Borders TD5 8QF. "You" means the person who books. "The workshop" means The Founder Glue Workshop: Map it. Price it. Fix it.

By completing a booking, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, ask me before you book.

2. The workshop

  • Date: Wednesday 2 December 2026.
  • Times: doors open at 9:30. We start at 9:45 and finish at about 12:45.
  • Venue: The Dickson Room, The Cross Keys Hotel, Kelso.
  • Included: your seat, a printed workbook, tea, coffee and biscuits.
  • Not included: travel, parking and any food or drink you buy at the hotel.

The running order may shift by a few minutes on the day. That is not a change to the workshop.

3. Who it is for

The workshop is for people who run, or are about to run, their own business. By booking, you confirm you are doing so for your business. If you are booking as a consumer, your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms.

4. Booking and payment

The price is £197 per seat (I am not VAT registered, so no VAT is added). You pay in full when you book, through the secure checkout on my booking page. The payment is taken by Stripe.

Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email with your ticket. If you do not receive it within an hour, check your junk folder and then contact me.

Places are limited. They are given in the order bookings are completed. If a discount code is offered to you, it works only as described when it is given, for one seat per business, and cannot be combined with another offer. A condition of booking is that you are added to my email list and agree to receive marketing emails from me. You can unsubscribe at any time (see clause 18).

5. Your ticket

Your ticket is a PDF with a QR code, sent with your confirmation email. It is personal to the name on it. Please bring it, on paper or on your phone, when you arrive.

6. If you need to cancel

  • Up to 14 days before the event (by Wednesday 18 November 2026): you get a full refund, no questions asked. Email me and I will refund the original payment.
  • After that: there are no refunds. You can still give your seat to someone else (see clause 7).
  • If you do not turn up: the seat is not refunded.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Please allow at least 7 days for a refund to be processed.

I am not responsible for any travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid for yourself if you cancel or cannot attend.

7. Giving your seat to someone else

If you cannot come, you can transfer your seat to someone else for free. Send me their name and email address by 5pm on Tuesday 1 December 2026.

  • The new person gets the pre-work email and takes the Thirty Days Away test like everyone else.
  • If the hot seat is offered, the new person gives their own consent. Your answer does not pass on to them.
  • If you booked a discounted second seat, it can only be passed to someone from the same business.

8. If I cancel or change the workshop

If I cancel, or move the date or venue, I will tell you by email as soon as I can. You can then choose:

  • a full refund, or
  • to keep your seat for the new date.

The same applies if something outside my control stops the workshop going ahead as planned, such as illness, a venue problem, severe weather or a power or travel failure. In that case I will move it to another date as soon as sensible, or refund you.

Beyond the refund, I am not responsible for costs you have paid for yourself, such as travel or accommodation, so please book those with that in mind.

9. What to bring

Bring a laptop, tablet or phone that can reach your email and calendar. It is for looking things up, because your answers go on paper. Please also bring two rough figures: your average job or client value in pounds, and how many enquiries you get a month. Rough is fine. I will email you a short pre-work test called Thirty Days Away about a week before. These are things that make the day more useful. They are not conditions of attending.

10. The hot seat

During the workshop, one attendee's business may be mapped live in front of the room. This is called the hot seat. It is optional.

  • After you book, I will email you to ask whether you would be willing to take the hot seat. You only take part if you reply yes. Not replying counts as no.
  • Saying yes is not a promise. I will have a quiet word at the break and you can still say no on the day.
  • If you are in the hot seat, you decide how much to share. Other attendees will hear what you say in the room.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time before or during the workshop, without giving a reason.

11. Respecting the room

People will share real details about their businesses. I ask everyone to treat what they hear in the room about other attendees as private, and not to share it outside the room without that person's permission. This is a request based on trust. It is not a legal confidentiality agreement.

Please do not record audio or video of the workshop or other attendees without my permission and theirs.

I may ask someone to leave if their behaviour is disruptive, abusive or makes others uncomfortable. If that happens, there is no refund.

12. Photos and recording

I will take photos on the day. If you do not want to appear in them, please speak to me when you arrive and I will make sure you are left out.

13. Nothing is sold

The workshop is pitch-free. I will not sell to you in the room or pressure you to buy anything. After the event I will follow up by email, as explained in clause 18.

14. Workshop materials

The workbook, slides and exercises are my copyright. You may use them for your own business. Please do not copy them, share them, sell them, publish them, or load them into an AI tool to create something similar for others. What you write in your own workbook stays yours.

15. What the workshop can and cannot do

The workshop gives you a way to look at your business and a practical plan to start fixing one problem. I cannot promise any particular result, such as more clients, more revenue or more free time, because that depends on what you do afterwards and on factors outside my control.

What I say is general business and marketing guidance. It is not legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Please speak to a qualified professional for those.

16. Access, dietary needs and the venue

If you have an access need or a dietary requirement, tell me when you book or as soon as you can after, and I will do what I reasonably can. The venue is run by The Cross Keys Hotel, and the hotel's own rules and policies apply while you are there. Please look after your own belongings.

17. My responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow me to limit.

Otherwise, I am not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or any indirect loss. My total liability to you for anything connected with the workshop is limited to the price you paid for your seat.

18. Your information

I collect the details you give me when you book (such as your name, email address, mobile number and payment details), your answers to the Thirty Days Away test, and your hot seat choice. I use them to take your booking, run the workshop, send you event emails and send you marketing emails. Booking adds you to my email list, and agreeing to receive marketing emails from me is a condition of booking. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing does not cancel your booking.

I use trusted systems to take bookings and payments and to send emails. I do not sell your details. If you would like a copy of the details I hold about you, or want me to delete them, email me at andrew@thesavvymarketingguy.com.

The event emails (your ticket, reminders and pre-work) are part of your booking and are still sent if you unsubscribe from marketing.

19. Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to your booking are the ones on my booking page when you book. If I change them later, the change does not affect your booking unless you agree to it.

20. Law and contact

These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction, unless you are a consumer and the law gives you the right to go to court somewhere else.

If you have a question or a complaint, reply to your confirmation email or write to andrew@thesavvymarketingguy.com. I would always rather sort it out with you directly first.
